The following comes to us courtesy of the ACW site:
ACWs resident Evil Goddess,
Poison Ivy may be the most vicious and vindictive vixen ever to enter
Australian Pro Wrestling. Despite her rulebreaking ways, she is still
a multi-talented performer whose abilities are often overshadowed
by her blackhearted capers.
A manager without equal,
she has proved herself to be force to be reckoned in ACW, with a long
list of blood curdling firsts to her name. Ivy is the first Australian
Woman in wrestling to:
Use a guitar on someone ( she missed Harpas and laid out her own
man, Mad Dog)
Win a women's Cage match
Win a women's triple threat
She
is also, to our knowledge, the only Australian wrestler to have invented
her own signature move, the Throttle Drop. This is not a variation
of another move, another move reversed or a couple of moves put together.
It is a devastating finisher that has downed men considerably larger
than herself. If that's not enough, her weapon count to date stands
at three broken walking sticks, two wands, a whip and countless bins
and trays. This is a girl who brings her own chair, and knows how
to use it with deadly effect.
The poisonous one entered
ACW under the wing of then champ, Wayne"The Mouth" Pickford,
and quickly forged herself an empire, with herself as the tyrant in
charge and has proved to be a thorn in the side of Animal Harpas ever
since. The feud between the two has intensified in recent times after
Poison Ivy stole Blade away from the Harpas camp, causing the Animal
to challenge three of her men to coffin matches. Ivy has gone in the
coffin with her defeated man each time and this has steeled her resolve
to cause the downfall of the legendary Harpas, and his son Youngblood.
Ivy is a survivor; she
honed her survival skills by living rough in the Australian rainforest
for 18 months
without any modern conveniences, or to hear her tell it, without any
conveniences at all. She says it was this experience that confirmed
that she would thrive in pro wrestling. Ivy says "You try
living like that, compared to me, ALL women are weak in spirit. I
don't care what they say they can do, I know I can outlast and out
think and out fight any woman, and most men."
While much about Ivy remains
unknown, we can confirm that her arrival in pro wrestling was no accident.
In a recent interview Ivy revealed the following about her introduction
to ACW.
" I'd been thinking about becoming a pro wrestler for years,
but I knew that as a woman,I'd have my work cut out for me. I knew
I'd have be twice as good as a guy, train twice as hard a guy and
still look good before I'd even get a look in. So I studied the business
first. I looked at all the Aussie shows and figured who was who in
the scheme of things. I upped my already intensive training schedule.
After about 18 months I knew ACW was the place for me, despite several
other less lucrative offers. All that studying paid off. I know the
weaknesses of every wrestler in this country, in fact I know everything.....comparitively,
anyway. That's why ACWs very best wrestlers rush to join my Ivy League,
they want my expertise because they know its the difference between
victory and bitter humiliating defeat. ACW only employs the very best,
and the best of those are under my command, my own personal army.I'm
more deadly than any damned diva!"
Well, love her (why?) or
hate her (like most) Ivy has certainly made more waves in wrestling
than anyone considering the short span of time she's been around,
and it looks like ACW wont be rid of her soon. ACW fans can only hope
the unforgettable Ivy will change her ways, however unlikely it seems.
